Insurance claim filing process

Step 1. Review your policy

  • Name of insured (Customer's name)
  • Name of insurer (Insurance company), policy issuing office
  • Type of policy
  • Period of insurance
  • Details of assets covered
  • Sum insured asset wise
  • Perils covered
  • Add-on cover
  • Name of beneficiary
  • Policy deductibles
  • Warranties and exclusions

Step 2: Claim intimation to insurer with loss details

  • Cause of loss
  • Date/time of loss
  • Place of loss
  • Type of loss (total/partial)
  • Lost/damaged property
  • Estimated loss amount

Step 3: Loss survey by the insurer

  • Cooperate with the surveyor and provide the necessary information/documents required by the surveyor/insurer.
Step 4: Claim filing with insurer
  • Fill-up the insurance claim form
  • Arrange necessary proofs, evidences and documents
  • Submit your claim with the insurer
  • Follow up and meet any additional information requirements of insurer
  • Obtain claim payment
