If the company is reliable and is offering this through proper procedure then it is possible, otherwise you should check out that whether all the documentation is full and legal.

I was not told about initial allocation charges in policy(Aviva life little master ) and similarly I paid three mandatory premia regularly and when stopped paying it further .When I asked the agent at Silchar about complications in such cases he told me there is no problem you just monitor fund value .Now I cme to know that there is an option of making your policy PAID Up so that there are no monthly maintenance chharges. But in my case these charges are being deducted for last two years just because of insufficient guidance by agent. The company has to be more transparent.

one agent of Aegon Religare told me that their company launched a scheme that has sure shot 16% return within 3 years.
They sold me a Aegon Religare premium gain plus policy, after checking this I found that this is a ULIP.
Now I got a phone that I can get a portability in this scheme with adding the same amount in the new FD scheme for nine month with handsome return. (30k + 30K) with refund of 82K.
Is is possible?

Before investing into any market one should understand and study the Segment, Company, its product and the terms and condition of the products.

ULIP policy comes with lock in period clause of "three to five" years and certain charges are deducted yearly or monthly basis towards fund management, risk cover and so on.

If you feel ING Vysya has charged you with higher deductibles please verify the terms and conditions of the policy and call for clarification from ING Vysya, we are sure they will revert.

Further, market has been down for sometime hence the NAV is low resulting into lesser accumulation of fund value in comparison to your investment.

I have been looted by the company ...they deduct all type of charged ....Annual charges , Quarterly charges and even monthly charges and what not ...

Even to exit before 5 years u have to pay an hefty amount. This the worst fund houses and the worst scheme i ever had in my portfolio.
Please remain away from such looters ..and safegaurd your interests.

MOU between Star Insurance and Tamilnadu government is an agreement only. But remember, the same is superseded by a Contract evidencing issuance of Certificate of Insurance/ Policy certificate i.e Group Mediclaim Insurance Policy for a year depicting full terms and conditions agreed between the insured (Tamilnadu Govt.) and the insurer.

Hence through the Tamilnadu Govt. a copy of the policy having full terms and conditions depicted therein can be demanded from Star Insurance Co.

Moreover, there is no rule that case to case basis the amount of surgery fee will be decided. It has to be pre-determined and depicted specifically in the said policy;

MOU is an agreement but the final Contract is Insurance Policy document, the insurer is duty bound to provide a copy of the same.

Sir,
Star insurance company has signed a MoU with govt. of tamilnadu in insuring the health for a maximum of Rs.2 lacs for a block of 4 yrs.
I am searching the web for the break up of the amount reimbursed for every surgery or treatment under this scheme.
No where has star come out clean in black and white the the maximum amount allowed for each surgery.
The call centre replies that its decided case to case basis.
Neither IRDA nor The Govt. of Tamilnadu prevailed on the company to disclose the percentage of the sum assured to be claimed for each surgery.
Unlike the public insurance company have everything in the documentation clearly mentioned. This would avoid unnecessary displeasure.
Would Star look into it?

Listening to his story the same day i called upon my insurance consultant and understood the plans one must take in the normal course of life and now, you can see that I am insured vide several policies and financialy secured.

A corporate concern had taken out a Group Personal Accident policy for its workers. During the poilcy period one of the worker died and the claim was lodged with the insurer.

Insurer asked for some of the relevant documents like:
Death Certificate
Post Moterm Report
FIR copy & Final Police report
Hospital's Certificate showing cause of death
Hospitalization and Indoor case papers.

Corporate concern was able to furnish the Death Certificate along with a brief note about the incident after much persuation from the deceased worker's family.

It was then noticed that the worker who died, had a road accident while driving motor bike on 6th May 2009 and had a fracture with minor injuries here and there. The worker got his fractured leg plastered from an Ayurvedic clinic but No FIR was made.

Subsequently, the injured worker complained "chest pain" on 20th May 2009 and was taken to a Government hospital, where he ultimately died.

The insurance company having noted all the facts and circumstance conveyed their inability to pay the claim since death was not caused as a consequence of the road accident but purely becasue of "heart failure", a primary cause, totally isolated and independent from the accidental injury.

Conclusion: Under Personal Accident Policy "Death claim" is payable, if, death is caused directly as aresult of an accident or on account of a cause directly attributable to that accident.
