Hi
I suggest you to purchase a medical insurance policy as soon as you return to India because finding a health insurance policy (at age 40) won't be difficult. However, once you enter a senior citizen category, finding medical insurance policies in India will be very difficult.

Also health insurance providers in India offer coverage only upto a certain age. However, recently I have learned that Max Bupa Health Insurance which is the leading provider of medical insurance in India provides coverage to customers for the entire life. The feature is called 'Assured Renewability for Life'

According to me I think that today many insurance company provides mediclaim for life time, I think that Old age has a dual definition. It is the last stage in the life processes of an individual, and many companies provides insurance for old age people.

Hi,

Yes, these days insurance companies are providing mediclaim cover till life time, if policies are timely and continously renewed.

During the policy period one can have multiple claims untill the sum insured is exhausted.

Please note: Mediclaim policies like overseas mediclaim is not valid all over the world. Presently they are effective within the Indian jurisdiction.

Pl. do register yourself next time u participate.

Hi,

I am currently based out of India but with a goal to return to India in a few years time. I am 40+ now and would like to take a health insurance policy that covers me and my wife for the rest of our lives. Are there such policies available ? Can you make multiple claims on them ? Any help / guidance will be much appreciated
