    Hi,
I am a non-smoking male of 42 years. My wife is 40 years old housewife and we have a 6 years old daughter. We need a family floater plan for the family for around Rs 4/5 lakhs coverage.Presently, my company provides me a health cover of Rs 4.00 lakhs for the family but I need a personal one. Also, should I go for critical illness cover? I have accidental death insurance of Rs 18.00 lakhs and life insurance of Rs 20.00 lakhs for myself. Please advise a suitable health insurance policy. My priority will be those insurance companies who have good and hassles free settlement record.

    Thanks,

    Purnendu Hi,

    Thanks for the brief.

Thats' a good thought! "Parallel health policy along Group".
U can go for critical illness cover too.

Remember while taking out fresh (new) Individual /Flaoter policy u must give previous policy details (group policy) that will make you eligible to get waiver of 30 days and 1st & 2nd Year policy waiting period under the new policy.

Note, most of the insurer's are trying to give best services and hassel free claim settlement these days so there is nothing to worry at all. Further, we will be glad to guide you further, if, you so desire.

    Hi,

well stories will be there negative or positive. we should not be biased without understanding the modalities.

If you happen to visit Ombudsman office or consumer forum wou will find lots of case filed against most of the inurers both life and general.

The most important point is that we donot study the policy terms and conditions and even do not provide information timely and in a manner which is correct. Hence at the time of claim things get delayed and complex. And then the stories Like Apollo DKV presently known by Apollo Munich Health Insurance Company Limited, United India, Bajaj Alliance comes up.

Pl. note once again, all the insurers are working hard to provide better, quick and hassel free services and stories like these would be every where. Lastly, insurance even today is seen as a tool of expense and /or source of making money which need to changed.

Pays We always think we are very fine but health problems can come at anytime and medical expenses are really sky-scraping. Health insurance really makes you care free. I am using HDFC ERGO's Health Suraksha Plan and I am very happy with the services. This plan covers hospitalisation expenses due to sickness or accident upto the Policy Sum Insured, cover pre and post hospitalisation expenses, pays for medical expenses for harvesting an organ donated and also covers health checkup expenses.

Great! if you are looking for hassle free health insurance then HDFC ERGO might be the right choice for you. I know for a matter of factly that HDFC ERGO gives optimum coverage of health insurance at affordable prices. They give coverage for 8 critical illness, hospitalisation expenses due to sickness or accident upto the Policy Sum Insured and pay for even expenses incurred 60 days immediately before hospitalisation and these are only two of the many benefits that they provide. So have a healthy life and for everything else try to find a dependable health insurance.

My advice to you would be to seek private health insurance.
They offer high coverages at affordable premium.

If you have any doubts or need more information about private health insurance providers, health insurance, coverage type and so on; feel free to get in touch with private players too. Their experts will answer all your health insurance queries for sure.

If your spouse or children get seriously ill or hurt, the medical costs can lead to a total depletion of your savings. It may even cause bankruptcy.

Medical Insurance is insurance against the risk of incurring medical expenses among individuals. By estimating the overall risk of health care expenses among a targeted group, an insurer can develop a routine finance structure, such as a monthly premium or payroll tax, to ensure that money is available to pay for the health care benefits specified in the insurance agreement.
