documents required for personal accidental claim,whicle bathing in bathroom

   one of my friends mother was having TATA AIG peronal accident cover ,and she lost her life ,as she fell down in the bathroom and got head injury.so it is requested to kindly help me out ,how & what would be the expected douments required to settle the claim .

   Documents that might be required by insurer are :-

   1. Original Policy Bond
   2. Certified true copy of Death Certificate
   3. Police FIR / Complaint letter if intimated to police
   4. Brief statement of the incident
   5. Certified true copy of Postmortem Report, if done
   6. Claim form duly completed and signed.
   7. Proof of relationship/Nominee -claimaint with the insured member

   Pl. remember to give immediate claim intimation letter to the insurer-TATA AIG refereing the PA policy number, asking them to register the claim under the policy and also to issue a claim form alongwith list of documents that they may require.
