My father recently met with a small accident and then I realised that I was foolish to not have a Mediclaim till now and now I'm looking forward to take Family Floater for my parents, father is 53 (working) and mom is 47.
If you can please advice on below question regarding Family Floater Plan with Oriental:
-- Per their prospectus, if the proposer turns 65, the policy expires. In this case, what happens to the spouse who is included in the Family Floater and who is 6 years younger, so only of 59 years age. Will she continue to receive benefits? If yes, how will the premium be revised in this case?
I have tried to get answers from many of the agents but was not satisfied. I will appreciate if I can get an accurate and comprehensive response here.
Secondly, any suggestions for companies on Family Floater plans where the policy won’t expire at the age of 65? There are companies who allow upto 80 years.
I'm looking for a covergage of 3 lakhs, no existing diseases, parents are pretty healthy by god's grace.
Sorry for the long post. I hope to get an expert advice.
