   Hi,

   I wish to start with a insurance agency general and life both, and wish to become a agent for most of the companies can anyone guide me on how to do so and what are the licenses and other things required. It would be a compamy say xyz insurance agency.

   to become an agent u need to :
   1. Figure out which company u would like to work for.
   2. approach that insurance company for agency.
   3. They will guide u the procedure and compliance to be completet by you.

   For having insurance agency in a companies name u need to go through the corporate agent regulation available on IRDA website : http://irdaindia.org/

   Its a good idea but you must have to obtain a license to sell insurance in the state in which you want to open your agency.

   To become an individual insurance agent you would have approach to the insurance company you would like join and go through 100 hours training and after that one test will be conducted by IRDA, after clearing that you would be given license to given insurance.
