   Hv my insurance with voluntary
   Excess discount(rs 5000) in new india assurance
   Since 3 yrs
   If I claim for accident damage worth rs 8000
   Passed full amount with surveyor
   How much can I get ???

   Dr Ketan,

   It seems u hv Motor Policy with Rs.5000 V.Excess.
   Presently U have claimed for Rs. 8000/- and
   surveyor has considered the claim in full.

   Claim computation for u would be:

   Claimed Amount : Rs. 8000/-
   Assessed Amount: Rs. 8000/-
   Voluntary Excess Rs. 5000/-
   Compulsory Excess Rs. 500/-
   Net claim payable = Rs 2500/- {8000 -(5000+500)}
